NewYorkBIO Welcomes Brian Dershowitz as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & Initiatives
Dershowitz’s appointment marks a major investment in partnerships and collaborative initiatives for the leading advocate of New York’s life science industry
March 4, 2025, New York, NY – NewYorkBIO announced today that it has welcomed Brian Dershowitz as the organization’s newly appointed Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & Initiatives. In this role, Brian will play a pivotal role in expanding NewYorkBIO's impact and influence and streamline strategic partnerships, initiatives, and programs to align with the organization’s mission and goals to foster a vibrant life science ecosystem that improves lives across the state and worldwide.

Brian brings extensive leadership experience to this role after previously working in the life science industry. Most recently, he served as Senior Director at Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU), where he led overall organizational growth strategy, drove incremental revenue, and advised the organization on forward-thinking revenue driving engagement opportunities reflective of market priorities. Prior to that, Brian was a Business Development Manager at Life Science Washington, where he was responsible for direct oversight of the organization's overall revenue growth through securing sponsors, membership acquisition and retention, event registration and the business solutions affinity program.

Brian received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and master’s degrees in Sport Psychology and Sports Business from Purdue University and New York University. Brian is a resident of New York City.
